Workshop
Workshop "Practical use of GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation technologies" will be held from 8 to 9 April 2015. Languages of the event are English and Russian.
Currently the most important problem preceded before the ASEAN member-states is a globe competitive growth in such spheres as trade liberalization in service intensification, growth at transport and information structure, customs mutual aid, expansion of tourism, evolution of information infrastructure, introduction of information-communication technologies.
Space-based technologies, including GNSS proceed as modern high efficiency resources to solve a wide spectrum of tasks in different economic and business spheres including personal navigation, transport, building engineering, geodesy and cartography; cadastral register and agricultural regulation; agriculture and forestry; geology and oil / gas complex; industry, emergency situations monitoring; environment protection.
Thus, GLONASS/GPS technologies are one of the instruments to be able on commercial base solving the tasks are assigned before ASEAN. Wide and professional usage of such technologies requires urgent and qualified training of specialists of different level.
The Seminar is consistent with the provisions stipulated in the Agreement to be realized between the Governments of the RF and the member-states of ASEAN concerning the cooperation in the sphere of economics and development and upon a comprehensive program to activate a progressive cooperation between Russian Federation and ASEAN during 2005-2015.
The Seminar aims to train the specialists from relevant space organizations/institutions from the ASEAN Member States on the main design principals, functioning and development of global navigation satellite systems (GLONASS/ GPS) and their application options.
The participants are expected to gain knowledge on the use of GLONASS in different practical fields. Participants will be able to apply their skills in professional activities in their own countries.
Beneficiaries of the Workshop are the experts/scientists from the leading space institutions/organizations in ASEAN Member States (Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines)
